Zephyr Green Coffee is a full service green coffee provider to roasters worldwide. We’re involved in prefinance, procurement, preparation and export via our network of affiliated origin operations. From our trading office in New Orleans, we oversee hedging and risk management, importing and domestic logistics, inventory maintenance and, of course, quality control.

Please, what does this actually mean?

Simply put, we sell green coffee to roasters. If you’re buying a bag or booking a multi container string, we’re here to serve, happy to have you peruse our spot inventory or inquire about future deliveries. And don’t forget the fixins’. Sharing our market view, facilitating industry contacts and consulting on blend optimization are all part of the platter. We can carry roaster-allocated stocks for delivery upon request and, to qualifying counterparties, we’re able to extend credit terms at reasonable rates.

As prices fluctuate with market changes and seasonal availability, we don’t publish an offerlist with listed values. Please check out our offerings and let us know what’s interesting. We’ll let you know where it’s trading. Emails work, but we’d love to talk about it too. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Don’t hesitate to ask – we’re always open to new ideas and just may have something stashed.

We keep lot-specific samples of each coffee in our inventory and offer free test drives to serious applicants, within reason of course. For larger inquiries, warehouse-direct samples are available overnight.

Purchasing

Before we enter into business, we’d like to know you better. We ask all new customers to submit a new customer form posted here. Thanks.

Generally speaking, there are two types of trades: spot and forward.

SPOT SALES involve coffee currently available in one of the four warehouses in which we hold inventory:

FORWARD SALES are for coffee contracted at a given price to be delivered to a given place at a given time. This may be as simple as reserving a few bags of a particular coffee in our inventory for the next couple of months or as complicated as a future front door delivery from a crop still on the trees. These types of trades are for roasters well versed in their ongoing needs who like the assurance of consistent supply and price.

We require that all trades are confirmed with a signed contract.

Payment

ZGC currently accepts payment in the form of checks and wire transfers, requiring that payments clear before releasing inventory from possession. Mailing address and wire instructions are clearly labeled on all invoices.

Credit terms that typically require payment within 30 days from release are available to qualifying counterparties. Our credit application can be accessed here. For those customers with insufficient record or reference, cash prior transactions may be required before credit terms are provided.

Late balances will be assessed a 2% monthly finance charge until payments clear.

Deliveries can be arranged virtually anywhere using several different freight carriers. We enjoy discounted rates based on the volumes that we move, and we’re happy to share them with you.

NOTE: If you choose to make freight arrangements on your own, please be aware that any additional warehouse and/or freight charges will be billed to your account.
